Known as “The Gate City”, Nashua is the second largest city in New Hampshire.  Nashua, NH was twice listed in “Money” magazines’ list of the top places to live in the U.S (in 1987 and 1997). The total population as of 2012 is around 86,550.  Of that total population, approximately 21,315 work and live in Nashua.  Many people that live in Nashua make the 50 minute commute to work in the Boston area.

STARBUCKS – Starbucks purchased a Costa Rican farm on the slopes of the Poas Volcano.  The purchase is to be finalized in May.  This is the first purchase of a coffee farm for Starbucks.

CARIBOU – Caribou Coffee announced this month, a mere 2 weeks after Starbucks, that it’s introducing its first “light roast” coffee.  This new addition to the line-up is called “Starlight”.

SEATTLES BEST  -  A Starbucks owned brand, Settles Best, to represent the brands “small footprint”, has decided to open 15 new locations in Dallas-Fort Worth this year.  According to a March 18^th press release, “the new small footprint drive-thru-only locations are built for a large and growing audience of customers who are increasingly getting their coffee on-the-go”.

 

DUNKIN DONUTS - Dunkin’ Donuts announced its popular Dunkin’ Donuts Mobile App for iPhone and iPod touch has added support for Apple's Passbook.
